Heimdall Power Supports North Carolina’s First Statewide DLR Deployment

North Carolina’s varied terrain and weather make the state a compelling testing ground for a more dynamic approach to managing the electric grid.

Heimdall Power drone teams will deploy Neurons across the state—from regions in the mountains, through the Piedmont plains, to the coastal Carolinas—to capture real-time data on conductor conditions and performance. The resulting real-time data will provide insights into how dynamic line rating (DLR) could help optimize the state’s existing grid assets and support more reliable, affordable electricity for North Carolinians.
